One of newly elected members is Paweł Hendrich, economist and composer from Wrocław.
“First of all, I’m here to represent the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in WrocÅ‚aw. Analysis of a musical work is what I do for a living. My interests combine science and art and this is probably why I’ve been admitted to this honourable group”, says Mr Hendrich, laughing.
Before joining the Academy, would-be members had to satisfy numerous exigencies: be under 35 years of age, have outstanding accomplishments and get a recommendation from scientific society boards. To the top of that, they need to be willing to cooperate with other actors in art and science.

Make your first step to Nobel Prize… in Wrocław
The Chapter of the Academy of Young Scientists and Artists elected twelve most promising young members out of forty candidates.
They received membership certificates in Mayor’s office on Wednesday, 21st April 2010. As RafaÅ‚ Dutkiewicz pointed out, interdisciplinary, free and lively intellectual exchange at the highest level makes it possible for academic WrocÅ‚aw to aim higher in development and make new contacts, international and domestic.
